Makasuto forest

Makasutu forest is a holy forest near the river Gambia. After a drive to Makasuto over regular roads and bush roads, we will be received by a team in the forest. They will present a boat trip, a walk through the forest where you will probably see a group of wild baboons, and a lunch. You will learn a lot from the local guide about the trees and the animals who inhabit the forest. You will also see how fruit for the palmwine is harvested and if you want you can talk to a marabou or traditional wizard who will predict your future for a small fee. He lives in a humble house in the forest.
